We will probably draft all defenseman for fun.

I know wen need more elite talent but drafting four players is not a bad thing.

GM for life is at is again. Doesn't want to mess up the "chemistry" of his 9th place team.

What a joke. Can't wait for another season of hoping that the 'core' of Vanek, Pominville, Stafford, Roy and Miller can win a playoff round.

I would use all the picks and draft the best available center with one of the 1st rounders. Trade Roy for picks to free up cap room. Getting rid of Roy is addition through subtraction.

This draft day is brutal. Like trade deadline 2012 all over again.

Like I said in the other blog, what about Roy for Weiss. we save 2 million in cap room. both of their contracts expire after this upcoming year, would you guys do this trade if you were the Sabres GM?

You guys are babys! Crying about not trading the picks yet. Ever think maybe teams don't want the picks because its a BAD draft class? Also not many centers on the trade block. Why make a trade just to make a trade? Maybe the team has its eye on some players they really wan't that they could possibly get at there position?

Also Weiss has a 3.1 cap hit, where are you getting a 2mil savings from? His salary is also 4.1mil.

we DID get hodgson at draft deadline that was pretty awesome!! if all goes well we basically got our next drury for a player that wasn't going to do anything for us anyways.

we'll see how it goes. i could see all of the draft picks being used and darcy making a trade within the next few weeks that blows our hats off. for some reason he loves making trades on or around july 4th

Yea we all like to make fun of Darcy.... But seriously we all know he isn't that naive/dumb. He knows who is good and who is bad. He just doesn't like to admit he "failed" which is why he hardly ever shakes up the core.

Hell yea lol! I liked Kassian and I think he just needs a full year on the 4th line in the NHL. I doubt they would do that or we would seeing as we obviously didn't like him to much.

Is this was a great deal for us. But it also shows what Darcy expects to get for his players. Not many teams are going to give a 1st for Goose or trade a Hodgson. Darcy wants top bill for his mediocre players and 99.99% of the time nobody's going to deal with him

As a fan, I dont sweat the fact that at 11am he THINKS theyll use all picks.

So much can happen between now and 7pm. And we ve only seen 1 trade anyway. Maybe Dregger was right when he said its looking to be a boring draft
