no, we've been over this many times, you're wrong "sometimes" but the biggest issue is that you've basically become a "negative quote generator" which can get tedious when we're in the category of "not being able to personally control the situation." Is this was a great deal for us. But it also shows what Darcy expects to get for his players. Not many teams are going to give a 1st for Goose or trade a Hodgson. Darcy wants top bill for his mediocre players and 99.99% of the time nobody's going to deal with him

You make an excellent point, but he somehow pulled both off at the trade deadline.
They actually happened.

He got Hodgson for a guy that Vancouver may already be tired of and a D man that Buffalo had enough because he was soft as tissue paper.
Oh, and they got a D man back that played amazingly well and could be the perfect number 7 guy for cheap.

You're right, but you try as hard as you can to get a pick in the 1st round for 2013 if at all possible.

I know Homer says they are bent on not starting the season with him, but if all they are being offered is table scraps, I have no problem trying to pry a team in desperate need of center help in contention at the deadline of a 1st round pick for him.
