Grigorenko: from the Hockey News:
....best player from the Q and challenged Yakupov for the No 1 prospect status much of the year. "He's a very talented player - he-s got everything." said one scout. "He's way ahead - he's like a man already. Every time he has the puck, he makes something happen and seldom does he make the wrong play."
Grigorenko was solid on faceoffs in his first North American campaign and the adjustment period was shortened by his skill and Patrick Roy's coaching. "He's learning to play defense and Patrick is teaching him how to play physical," said the scout.....and most importantly (for Buffalo and Russians)
"He doesn't back down when challenged!"

People said I would go #17, but I went at #12. Too bad for the guys that did not pick me earlier.....I will do everything I can to make it......knows histroy on Sabres....does not want to go to KHL.....emulates himself after Malkin
We will need to get an established Russian player to help him get settled into the NHL....

depth wise we could use a lw wing, skilled, big or both and a goalie at some point.
overall they filled a huge hole with two huge guys and the sabres are STILL in a great position to trade whether it be for a power forward or parise, or ryan or someone else. wooo!!

Then it's on, Shero vs Darcy battle for high profile winger.
