If I'm not mistaken, Schultz becomes a UFA, as soon as the draft ends tomorrow. Once his draft position is re-established, the 4 years end and he can sign anywhere. I don't think that he even has to wait, for July 1st. - PrinceLH
I was under the impression that he can speak with any team, but cannot sign until July 1st.
Anyone know for sure which it is? |

I hate when leaf fans bring up kessel for nash, 1) kessel is younger 2) kessel played with no center 3) kessel got more pts than nash 4) kessel has a smaller cap hit 5) nash is a fag - Mapleleafs_91
Agreed.. Columbus is asking a lot for a decent player... Kessel is a star... who is only getting better

What was the quote? - Unholy_Forward
Basically.. You want to win a championship with the team you're drafted, but he's seen nothing from the team to suggest they actually want him there over the last few years. Everytime there's a move that comes up to improve the team, he's being discussed to go the other way. He actually said trade me then, cause I don't care anymore. And something along the lines of its tough coming to the rink every day knowing they're always looking toget rid of you. |

The question is, who should the Leafs draft with the 35th pick? |
|
|
|
from the Burkey crowd, FIRE BRIAN BURKE - PinkSock
Rogers?Bell should have made a stamp on this Draft as soon as Burke said he was drafting another offensive defenseman they should've fired him on the spot and asked someone else to go up and make a pic we actually need.

Hear Mackenzie's quote from Ryan? He's definitely in play... - joel878
I heard that too. Also saw Ryans comments about the Ducks management. He sounds like a gonner and it will impact the Nash trade. I like the idea of Ryan coming here, if Burke can get it done. Maybe all of the old Duck management here could make that happen. He would be a more complete player then Kessel, but maybe score a little less. I'd take that, because he's a larger body that goes to the net. Kessel is not going to be any better than he is today and at his peak. Now is the time to move him for a comparable asset. Burke should outta get on this one. I'm starting to feel, that Burke has lost his touch. If he loses out on Schultz, then it's official! |

I would say an offensive defenseman because you can never have too many non-defensive players on your team. The shorter the better.

Excellent suggestion. In that case, let's get Finn. |

Ive kinda hung tough on the idea that Burke could right the ship... But for some reason, I've decided I'm finally not a fan tonight. Think his (frank)ing mouth has finally run its course.
I'm one of the rare ones that would love Nash. I'm of the do t pass up potential franchise players while they're available type... But I'd take Ryan in a heartbeat first. He's younger, cheaper.. And the biggest part? Wouldn't have to deal with that (frank)ing knob Howson. |

You need a rudder with your Finns or else you will continue to go off course..
