He guy appears to be an injury liability... Concussion, broken foot and was supposed to have hip surgery up until a week ago.
The fact the JvR is involved in EVERY Philly trade rumor after these injuries is a red flag. - As_I_See_It
Just think of him as a fresh start. Philly may be in the market for defence. Let's move on this one, it's probably our cheapest option. |

How am i making us look bad, im stating the (frank)ing obvious that JVR is the next gagne or brassard. What are you going to tell me they have potential to become what 70+ pt guys? Give me a break, and whats the asking price for JVR? Schenn? Gardiner? Forget it. We already have 40-50 pt guys, yet you want to bring in a 23 year old who has nothing more than pretty much the same as kulemin, mac, and bozak... So nice logic - Mapleleafs_91
atleast JvR crashes the net |

Im gonna assume you ment Gagner, and considering all 3 play hockey, that makes no sense.......just like everything else you've said. - mochoson
Yes gagner, brassard, never having breakout seasons, exactly how JVR is going to end up like. |

Naw wouldn't move kesler he is signed long term at a solid price. Especially with his 2 way game if healthy he is a 75 point guy with 30 goals we need to stop playing him like 23 minutes a game and pks though that kills - Jake_1723
I hear yah. Oh well, good luck with Lu and whatever else Gillis and the Nucks get up to this off season! |

To be fair to Lupul he had career-threatening, heck even life-threatening injuries the past couple of years.. could last year have been a fluke? will he do it again? who knows, but to come back from an injury and infection like that and score at a point per game pace is quite remarkable if you ask me - peddy-93
I will give you that. Good point Lups IMO will have a tought time maintaining it |

Ever hear of Logan couture?
Let's just roll with the same cluster of forwards that had us jus pick 5th overall, and act like they're studs compared to kids that were drafted 2nd overall, and still trying to level off some consistently. Sweet logic. |

OK, last post of the night. Gotta get up for round 2 of the draft.
Hope that Burke gets a deal done, tomorrow. Hope that we find that diamond in the rough. Hope that we can sign Schultz soon, since he becomes UFA tomorrow. Hope that Luongo is not a member of the Leafs going forward. Hope.....that UG gets a pardon and comes in here, to kick some of these trolls around, so they'll go back to their own blogs and leave this one for the rest of the Leafs continum.
Till 10AM......later Confederates! |

Gagner and Brassard are more talented then 90 percent of your roster. |

i can see him being a 60-65 point player over 82 games, not a PPG player but its not a stretch for him either, i think its pretty realistic |

What about him? He dominated the nhl with consecutive 30 goal seasons. And was a steal and jewel in the draft. My logic is that JVR looks like the type of players that get drafted high, think they are going to be elite forwards but look more and more going the route of gagner and brassard. |

Then you cant have Justin Schultz, as he would not approve of this. |
