At 23 years old, im fairly certain he hasnt hit his peak yet. I think Gags is just on a longer curve than others. His 3 zone play has improved hugely in the last couple years.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but can someone please tell me exactly what JvR has done/shown to indicate that he won't be much more than a 50-60 point winger at best?

I know the kid was drafted 2nd overall, but NOTHING I've seen from him has warranted the Flyers supposed asking price of Schenn+. Coupled with his injuries this season, no thanks!

I think he has all the tools but he has to put it together. He could be a 70 point guy with 30 goals some guys takle longer to develop.

He is not worth a schenn or a gardiner from us. I enjoy people making a big fuss over him when he has nothing to prove himself yet. And getting paid at 4.25 million, if he were to get traded to the leafs and still produce 40 pts a season, fans would go mental saying hes poop. Yes obviously id take him over mac, or kulimen, or bozak or whatever, though he has nothing more than them in his career as of yet, and right now it remains that way.

if i was Feaster i would trade Iginla and Kipper for picks and prospects, go into next year with a poopty team and draft MacKinnon... Boom, franchise is back on track within a year

Not trying to troll, but what has Schenn done, either? Both started out with a lot of promise, and both have failed to progress as much as people thought.

The difference is that power forwards have much more value than defensive D. Any team should be happy to have either player, moving forward.
