You also think Gardiner playing controlled minutes in mostly offensive situations makes him a future top pairing guy?

Gards will be a top 4 offensive-defensemen.. dont see him as a two-way top 2 unless he buffs up and takes roids

he has elite potential when it comes to offensive skills, and he has an extremely high hockey IQ, rarely makes mistakes and knows his positioning well.. i was disappointed that we didnt pick a center, but to me Rielly was the best defensemen after Murray, IMO

he wasnt kidding when he said he's building from the net out (shut up i know we dont have a goalie).. but if we get schultz, the future of our defense is scary good. Kind of like Edmontons offense excpet not as elite

So..you think he'll lean towards the Leafs then? If Burke thought that, I doubt he drafts Reilly. Imo, if he thought they had the inside track on Schultz, he takes a forward instead.

I dont think Schultz factored in to picking Rielly, if it was Murray that would be different, but Rielly is 1-2 years away and by that time Schultz would already be playing a year or 2 and would most likely be in our top 4.. just what i think

he was second among d on are team almost every night for TOI and he was put in allot of different situations. Did you watch this kid play all year???

Burke has always drafted the best player available. If he says Reilly was who they had ranked #1, I have no way of proving him wrong, so I believe him.
