We're in a REBUILD. (frank)ing retard. - Unholy_Forward
No we're not. This is life on the fly! Your GM is going to try to fastforward >> it again very shortly. Just wait and see. He tried it once with Kessel, didn't work. Imagine trading 2 first rounders and a second rounder for a marginal player at the beginning of a "rebuild". Phaneuf? Not so much. Komi, Army, Connelly? Fack! What's next, bro? Go ahead, take your best shot - call me another name! |

All the people mad at the pick now, will be thanking Burke for this pick later on. Reilly(like Galchenyuk), was injured for most of the year, yet he was still ranked in the top 10 in every draft. If he played this kid could have went higher. I am more happy with this pick than getting Murray. Forsberg didn't even get picked in the first 10, if Burke really wanted him he would have picked him. Reilly reminds me of Kris Letang. Pure offensive stud, we haven't had one in a while on defense. Gardiner is great, but I think Reilly will put up better numbers. Wait until free agency, and if Burke does nothing on that day, then everyone should be mad. - Allstarzz
On the contrary, Parise would be the only FA I would want ... and the Leafs chances are less than zero on that front.
Now, I am terrified of what Burke will give up for Nash. |

It could very well be that Rielly was the best pick of the draft for all we know.
I guess I really just feel that is nothing really hopeful or interesting to look forward to in Leafland. - GoneFullRetard
All we can do is speculate for now. There isn't much to look forward to right now, but when we fail again next season and get a lottery pick and get Macky with it we'll be poopting our pants with joy. |

It's a sad state of affairs when we as Leaf fans have this to look forward to, sad but true. |

Relax people, Rielly is a great pick for the Leafs to bolster their defensive depth. I know that most Leafs fans where hoping for Galchenyuk, Forsberg or even Grigorenko, but seriously, take a step back and try to look at the big picture and what this pick might mean.
Between drafting, signing free agents or making trades, what is Burke's strong suit?... TRADING! (please, save the a-hole Kessel comments)
With the abundance of d-men that the Leafs now have with the addition of Rielly and possibly even Schultz, you can bet that Burke will be addressing other areas of need via trades using a few of our d-men.
Let's just see how tomorrow and the week leading up to and beyond July 1st plays out before everyone starts losing their (frank)in' minds!
Sh!t, let's just be thankful that Burke didn't frivolously trade away or include the damn pick in a trade for Luongo! - As_I_See_It
Like I said may times Lu for Schenn
Schenn out Reilly in No salary dumps thanks. |

What I meant was that by then or on that day Burke will make some trades because the free agent pool sucks after a couple of players. Leafs should trade whatever they can for Bobby Ryan. Which center is available? Staal is gone |

Did you see TSN suggesting Chicago moves out Kane and goes for Parise and Suter ... and also maybe Minnesota for Parise & Suter. Apparently they are friends and would like to sign somewhere together.
Hell, even Pittsburgh could afford both!?!
Put Suter and Parise on Chi or Pitt. Wow. |
