If we do get Schultz I'm sure Erixon or mdz are gone in a trade I would pefer erixon gone only cause mdz is established in the locker room and we seen what he's capable of

Everyone talks about need offense, need offense. Lets really over exaggerate here and look at Erik Karlsson in Ott. The offense runs through him there and most of there offensive chances are created with an initial play by him. I think MDZ will get better and create offense, and lead the rush. Remember all those gorgeous passed through the neutral zone for goals? Those types of goals were basically due to his vision on the ice. I am really against trading him.

Dubi, picks, and prospects not named Miller. Thats where my focus would be and that is where it is for Sather as well. If Miller or AA had to be included then so be it but it depends on the full package. I think trading Miller would be a mistake too though..

Well, Im not THAT crazy about trading MDZ, but it was part of the hypothetical.

However, Anisimov is probably going to be part of any package for either Nash or Ryan and were all aware that Sather is shopping Dubi. But these are 2 guys that we've all be including in deals... so thats 2 guys.

We also know that Prust wont be returning, and Feds and Mitchell might not be returning either. Thats 3 guys.

Total of 5 guys that might not be here at the start of the season.

I believe Pete said it, this team needs a touch up, not a face lift. Trading 3 roster players for Ryan or Nash is a face lift.

Maybe there is something to be had with a name that we did not hear yet. Ideally I'd like to move Dubi+picks+prospects for someone. And I do realize that isn't enough for a Bobby Ryan.

Ideally I'd like to see this assuming something like the above happens (with Gabby Healthy)

Plus, we can't put the majority of the scoring on the shpulders of a 21 year old kid. Another top 6 winger would be a wise investment.

5 isnt half, and 5 new faces is more than possible. I have to see who was in and who was out but I just counted 9 new faces not counting Kreider on your list.

See my above roster. Just because a player is on the block doesn't mean we can't trade for them. We can do a near "hockey trade" where a team feels added organizational depth in Dubi+Erixon+Thomas+picks is better than Player X for the direction they want to go in right now.

In terms of amount of change on the roster, I think you are going to see a totally different 4th line (3 bottom tier players)/scratch forwards. I would be very happy with the type of roster I posted depending on the Player X and the UFA signed.

Thing is we need another goal scorer and the only one there is Semin and I dont think Semin is a good fit for this team.

The problem with trading Dubi is that his value nose dived this year, so youre not gonna get anything significant with him as the main piece. Better off just signing Whitney, youll probably get more out of him, without losing all the prospects and picks.
