One goal doesnt make a guy talented. Like I said I like gerbe and what he brings to the table but I think Sabres fan overrate how good he actually is.

think we should trade him just to get him a legit chance somewhere? i feel like hes just gonna be floating around/stuck in a rut on this team

I like trading him, simply because he has the potential to be a great goalie, can draw some decent attention and some talent in return.. Miller can play 95% of the games.. Just need any decent goalie that is a veteran who can step up when called upon.

Yeah, except none are that consistently bad.. Might as well throw the goalie cut-out from street hockey in net.

lets say hypothetically the guys currently in our possession stay with the team and we dont make any moves...the lines then look like (in some deviation) of:

van hodg pommer
foligno ennis staff
grigor roy leino
tropp mccormick kaleta

what line is our "2nd" line? ennis or roy? i guess it doesnt necessarily matter when were rolling 3 lines but which one do we think is the true 2nd? i say roy is 3rd with grigor bc roy is a cancer/doghouse and grigor can only get 3rd line minutes this season

He averaged 14 minutes of ice time a night. Not exactly terrible. He may also be short, but he's built like a tank.

Miller's glove hand might be the worst in the NHL for a starting goalie and drops to his knees faster than Sandusky's kids.

He won a couple shootouts this year. And won the 1st 3 games of his NHL career in shootouts.

idk grigor is a left handed shot im trying to make it easiest on him transitioning to the pro game...sure they could switch but when i was playing i was a right handed rw its easier

It is quite bad.. But in the end, he is Ryan Miller and I could never bash him because he's the only reason we aren't in last place every season.

He's worked on the 5 hole though and it got better as the season progressed. As a goalie in the shootout, you need guys that are able to score on the other end as well, our guys aren't so great at that. Not 1 of our guys were able to get over 50% on their shootout chances this year. That's pathetic.
