I always get aggravated when people just yell shoot like shooting is the best option 100% of the time. - jkc3953
The moron behind me yells at the players to skate, shoot, oh why don't you (fill in the blank). Always loud enough to annoy the ^%&*% out of the rest of us. Unfortunately there are many people like him at every rink. Sucks when they're actually rooting for the same team as you are. |

The arena in Columbus is awesome. The corridors are pretty open and there's tons of stuff for kids to do during intermission. The seats are pretty nice as well. The building in general is just really nice. The fans there supposedly hate us, but they don't really say anything when were there. Probably because they're pretty much outnumbered.
Pittsburgh had a good crowd but I was there back in 06-07, so I was in the old building. I had to walk up about 12 flights of stairs (no joke) and then there was a safety rail in front of each row of seats up there that was digging into my knees the whole game, and I'm only 5'7". The fans there were heckling us, but we just kept asking if they knew who anyone else on the team was other than Crosby. I also like to tell them that Sidney is a girls name.
Boston's arena is on top of the north train station, so that's kind of neat. The kids in the building were really disrespectful and they wouldn't sell beer to anyone with an out of state license that was under the age of 25. All of the seats are also yellow, so it's kind of obnoxious.
The Nassau Coliseum is just a dump. Period. But the fans were pretty nice. - HonkFortheGoose
Typical boston. Not surprised about the Coliseum one bit. |

I like Sundher better that Catenacci. I'd throw Catenacci in if that's what it took to get Ryan. |

By the way, since this blog is about Ott, I'd love him on our team. He'd be a fan favorite very quickly. |

The best part about it is that he's right. Vanek does look lazy quite often. - Pierceme69
He also yells at the goalie for the other team, tells our guys to hit someone with their purse, and calls Pat Kane cabbie. Oh, and yells at Heatley to go for another drive. |

I guess both - sabrebuzz8
Washington is a nice modern arena. A guy I work with has a pair of Season Tix and for a Sabre game will sell them to me and another guy we work with who is originally from Amherst. The seats are not great, the First Niagara equivalent of sitting on the corner, junction of 309/310, last row, where one of the seats is the top of the aisle. Also the redneck who plays the vuvuzella sits close by. Those tix, I think, are like $72 Face for every game. They typically sell out, the fans are loyal and mostly harmless. The stereotypical knock on them is that they are rich transients from other places who don't know much about hockey. Greatest upside: tons of Sabre fans at every game. Greatest downside: no small groups of drunk (yet very entertaining) Canadian men sitting in the 300s. |

I've sat with friends in 316 and 306. It can be fun anywhere in the joint.
My real fun is in telling our moron what I think and getting most of the regulars to join in. He starts complaining if the Sabres lose the opening faceoff. He doesn't like me, hasn't for a few years. That makes me happy! |

all i can say is...........guys r always rumored w/buffalo, but as the trend has gone, Darcy pulls a trade out of his butt w/a player nobody ever imagines, so no need to think he'll trade for a name discussed here. NOW, IF Doan becomes available, i think Darcy goes balls to the wall for him!! |

I think Ott is a realistic trade. We'd have to give up Roy which would make most people in here giddy. I also think Dallas would probably want a center prospect or young d-man as well. |

he sits two rows in front of me, so no. It really is entertaining. Even when the games suck, I leave the area feeling like I got my money's worth. You have to experience it to fully understand. The best part is that he actually wears a Vanek jersey. |

Well isn't that a walking contradiction. I have never purchased a sports jersey in my entire life, but if we could get Shane Doan I would change that. Even though he probably only has a couple years left before retirement. |

Wow really? I have a problem. I currently have 11 jerseys hanging in my closet. Some football, some hockey. I'm starting a collection of the jerseys from the 1980 US Olympic team. Started off with Ramsey. Not sure which one to get next. |
