only players I have bashed is vanek, myers and miller in the last 5 months
my favorite players, in no particular order foligno
tropp kaleta pommer
leopold
sulzer
enroth
but that does not mean they are the best players
I would be happy if we moved kaleta, if nothing else then to get a healthier winger and tropp more playing time
do I think enroth is better then miller, no not yet but aside from a few months before the olympics, I think enroth can put up similar number that miller puts up playing 40 games a year
leopold is just a steady player that gets the job done
sulzer is the player that never got a real shot and was our best defender for the last month when he did get a shot - homiedclown
well we do agree on a few that is for sure... Kaleta was injured and a marked man all of last year... I look for a lot more from him this year otherwise I don't think he gets resigned for a new deal with guys like Tropp and Girgenous coming through the pipeline with just as much grit but more skill than Kaleta.

I do believe there are a lot of folks who would never openly admit to coming to this site that do. - Gunner Staal
I'm curious of which one of us in here is actually garth or kevin... I cannot imagine that they both push out the blogs but then don't come in under a different username to talk about the stuff and throw around ideas..

Roy puts up points on your team and you want him gone, you don't think other GMs are aware of everything the fans are? - Gunner Staal
He played well below his capabilities last year, is small on a team of small players, and has gotten way too comfortable under the ruff system and has no accountability because he is part of the weak leadership core we have right now. That's why I want him gone. None of that has to do with his skill.
If I were a GM on a different team, I'd be in line to grab Roy in a second, knowing that he has the skills of a top 6er, if I wasn't running an already shrimp-sized team, and If I had a leader (coach or player) that would hold him accountable. There's also the 'new-guy' thing... most 'new-guys' on the team tries a little harder to not be the 'lazy new-guy.' I think his value to other teams is higher than his value to the Sabres.
Easier to take the risk when the players you are talking about are better than Roy, especially Richards. - Gunner Staal
Both Richards and Carter had way bigger risks due to there larger contracts. Plus Roy was mentioned in the trade for Ott, not Schenn and Simmonds. You think about a guys in a contract year, they want to perform great to get that next big contract. I like Roy scoring points but we need a bit more sandpaper on this team.

Garth used to, but he got ripped up on a regular basis, so he stopped. I'm not sure he could filter himself enough to hide in plain sight. I'm pretty sure he still reads the comments, but the few guys who defend him aren't him in disguise.
Kevin started writing myhockeybuzz blogs and was eventually added as our second blogger. I don't think he has an alt account. He does respond in his own blogs. If he was around more often than that, I think he would put out more blogs than he does.

Interesting stats....
in 2010-2011... The Sabres as a team only scored 4 ENGs... that just goes for show how much we lay back in our zone with a 1 goal lead and continuously dump it.
In division +/-.. Derek Roy was +13, followed by Leino and Leo at +7
Out of division +/-.. Derek Roy was -20
Pommer lead the team by 9 points scoring 53 points in non-division games.
Pommer lead the team by 11 with 82 missed shots
Foligno lead the team with a .47 Goals per game average followed by Ennis at .37

I think you are dead on... Roy is in a contract year.. and he is much less baggage to take on than Richards/Carter because he isn't signed long term and knows he has to work his ass off if he wants to keep his party boy life style up....

garth maybe korab
just a hunch - homiedclown
I used to think so too, but not anymore. Even jerry will go after Garth once in a while. Plus jerry was here before Garth stopped posting and before Garth really needed daily defending.

To be honest I find my comments go way down if I am posting a blog, by the time you finish one your brain needs a break.

DALLAS MORNING NEWS: Mike Heika, during a live chat with his readers on Tuesday, believes if the Stars were to pursue a big name UFA this summer, they would overpay for Zach Parise, but not for Nashville Predators defenseman Ryan Suter. He also feels the club would want a young center in return for Steve Ott. He also feels Buffalo’s Derek Roy would be a consideration as a trade target, and believes Colorado’s Paul Statsny could be had.
