Probably Vanek.. Pommer is a great captain, and more valuable.. Plays all assets of the game and doesn't take dumb penalties like Vanek. Pominville definitely a lot more valuable, because you can replace Vanek.

Luke Adam was still playing pretty good.. Some players just like the better competition, and enjoy the challenge and take it more serious. Could have ruined his confidence a bit that he got sent down when he was doing quite well.
- jkc3953

Luke Adam had 2g and 2a from Dec 2nd-Feb 8th

IMO he was playing like poop.

So, to prove Ruff wrong, when Adam was sent to Rochester he just absolutely tore it up.

Oh, wait. No he didn't. He really didn't do much to help his case.

- Terrier13

I'd be totally fired up if I started the year on the 1st line and looked the part, got moved off the line to help other players get hot, and then was expected to score goals on the 4th line with McCormick and Ellis. Message sent.

That is a solid point i did forget about foligno the kid is solid and can get points, kaleta is a good pest. You do need a star but man if Hodgson and Ennis hit their ceilings dam their gonna be good, Foligno should play with one of them he's the big guy whod get your skilled guys the puck.
- LEAFSfan28191

Foligno is just a straight up bad ass power forward who can do it all.. He has some sick moves and sick hands also.. He's just so strong with the puck.. Just watch him down low come October. Just ridiculous to watch how he just shoves people off and doesn't even budge from contact. Hodgson is going to be a superstar in the somewhat near future.. Way too great of a skill set to be a bust in my opinion.. Hopefully I am not wrong. Ennis and Gerbe are probably two of the grittiest and skilled short players in the league.. Just love watching them two not back down from anyone.

4th line. Least amount of ice time on the team. Never had a chance.

Prior to December 2nd he had 10 goals and played top 6 minutes.

Ehh, wouldn't say terrible.. He started off hot, and cooled off pretty fast and stayed cold for awhile. He's young.. Confidence can play a big part of the slumping.

Regehr all day, son. That is one bad ass dude when he wants to be.
- jkc3953

Heres my thing with regehr. hes nasty, solid, makes the "right" play a lot....but hes just slowing down and its terribly noticeable

reminds me so much of rivet

aka the big tough dman that was brought in for leadership and toughness (which it did) but was just a tad past his prime

if im the sabres i somehow try to get rid of regehr (and spare me the "we did all this stuff just to get him here in the first place" nonsense)

I watched him in the Playoffs and I don't think he has the skating. He did well in the rookie camp and caught lightning in the beginning just think hey waited to long to send him down and let him dominate in the AHL. I think he will do well down there this year and be ready father that otherwise put the worm on the hook and see who bites
- Mathwil3

I don't think he is as good, yet, as he looked early in the season. His skating is still average and may never be a strength. So, he really has to learn the game, find his role, and excel at it. Big guys that can't skate can still play NHL hockey if they do other things well. Like, win faceoffs consistently, be a responsible two way player, or be a presence around the offensive net. He needs more time to develop.
