Yup...but I'm hoping Burke re-signs Crabb. He earned a contract. Plus I don't get the love affair with Prust.

Brown - Steckel - Crabb is a very decent 4th line.

Besides Steckel

Yet, he's had more points than JVR.

And he's better defensively.

I don't think the Leafs will for the playoffs let alone the Stanley Cup unless they make some serious changes and add some talent. I would take it easy before saying they'll win it.

It would be great to get him. It would be just like when Komisarek was picked up. We can have the dream posts of imagines and ifs Penner came into form and played up to his potential as a power forward. (pf for BIG)

I understand the power of dreams!
However, it will probably cost you more than 1.5 mil/year

If its for cheap, why not? Cheap like, 1.5 or less.
- Feeling Glucky?

Yep. Maybe we'll sign Getzlaf and Perry next year at 2.8 each. Add some leadership in Iginla at only 2.25.

Which brings me back to my point, maybe JVR isnt good as a winger?

(frank)ing Nuge was annoying as hell. Running around for 2 hours, with a racoon tail on his ass, female doging about politics in Quebec.

No, cause when guys like kessel and lupul are setting each other up the whole season one with 82 pts the other who could of easily had 80 pts or more and a guy who's in the center acquiring 47 pts... somethings wrong there no? How does a guy whos centering two top wingers get 47 pts... stats dont lie, i dont care if bozak is good on defence, making him that more qualified for the third line.

Yup, Penner's definitely in their league.

We're talking about a 20 point player here.

Well if burke magically gets perry and getzlaf if they agree not to sign with the ducks next season, then i would say we have a chance at winning the cup if not winning the whole thing

2.8 and 2.25 is more than 1.5 or less, right?

Isn't it?

I'm sure it is, no?

Stats don't lie... But that doesnt mean they tell the whole truth. And while Bozak isnt a top line C, you're saying he shouldnt even be in the NHL.

So instead of them playing their normal position where they're familiar with, we should stick them at C, so they can prove themselves?

I'll gladly take Bozak, a center, over 2 wingers..

This season isn't about experiments..

- jbold

In all fairness, that only applies to JVR.
Kadri and Colborne are natural centres.....but Kadri is too small and not in tune with his defensive game yet. Talent-wise offensively, he's there.

Colborne.....honestly, I don't like him. I have a feeling he'll never be a full-time NHLer....at least not on the Leafs and not in anyone's top-6. Just a personal hunch though. I'd trade him now if he has any value at all. If I had to pick one of the three to give a shot to, it would be Kadri. At least he's shown small signs of brilliance in the past.
Having said that, if we start camp without a true #1C, it will be Bozak once again.
