Armstrong sucked in Toronto... plain and simple... now Burke can sign another oft injured useless 5th line plug for an even higher cap hit tomorrow... all is well

Armstrong was in last year of deal @ 3 million. @MapleLeafs have over 12 million without buying him out. Burke posturing for tomorrow - mochoson
What do you mean by posturing? Preparing to sign guys? I just think there wasn't a roster spot for him this year and he will count as 1M against the cap for the next two years

I dont know if he signs any replacement, or even resigns crabb. You've got Komarov, Frattin, Kulemin, D'Amigo, Brown, Kadri, etc. looking at a bottom-6 winger position.
It's funny how youngsters always assume that once your reach 35 your life is over. I see comments about Thomas and Brodeur and their ages as though their successes over the last two years revolve around the defense in front of them.
The thing I would hate is to see Marty play his entire career in NJ, only to essentially be forced to leave in his last year or two to struggle in busterville.

In hockey, for the most part, yes, you are in decline. The physical prime usually ends in the early 30s. A few exceptions do not disprove the general rule.

Prock's rule is they are all over the hill by age 26.
