No we wouldn't. Scrivens or Reimer would fill the void and we would be happy as tits about that. Plus, if Burke were to attain Bernier it would be for cheap. That guy is a trade magician, him and Nonis. - Unholy_Forward
Well if he can be had for cheap then sure why not haha

I completely agree with this.
We need to find the young goalie of the future. Bernier is an RFA after next year . Cap hit is 1.25 MM this year.. why not have Bernier, Reimer and Scrivens next year. If it turns out not 1 of them can carry the mail next year fine you can walk away from all 3 and try something else. The odds that 1 will pan out are pretty good I think though.
Leafs aren't a contender next year and just a goaltender away.. Lu is the wrong choice IMO. - D.Lemieux
Remember Rynnas and Owuya are in the pipes too..Rynnas just got qualified as well, and he's not much worse than Scrivens
This way it looks all good and legal and stuff. - Atomic Wedgie
Imagine this is all a cover up just to show there is no tampering, he shows interest in other teams but is not actually interested and is only interested in signing with toronto to cover up the tampering issues with burke since burke held gardiner hostage while gardiner texted/emailed schultz to come to toronto

I heard he's just waiting until Getzlaf is traded to the Leafs, so that they can split moving costs for shipping their stuff from Anaheim to Toronto.

it makes me wanna punch you. (PS i'm Internet tough, not "tough" tough) - DoubleDown
You Habs fans are incredibly rude.
I threaten people on Hockeybuzz all the time - I say I'm going to punch them in the face.
But I have the courtesy to ask them to put some beer in the fridge first, so that after I deck them, we can have a couple of wobbly pops and talk hockey.
They didn't teach you any manners in poutine cooking school?
seriously, I could dig up so many examples of players who can play through injury with success.......it's friday afternoon, don't make me work for it Dozzer......you know hockey, you what I'm talking about. - Barx
I demand to see these examples! Off the top of my head I can think of one player on the Devils who disappeared in the finals only to find out he was playing through an injury.....care to venture a guess? He's a pretty good one too. Last name starts with the letter "K".

ROFL that's your example? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but is Bobby Baun the only player to ever score a stanley cup winning goal on a broken leg? You list an exception as your example....please find a better one. I'm waiting.
