I've watched the video...still doesn't answer my question about why is there need for an IR? The whole notion of players playing through pain and having an IR contradicts. And this about the playoffs....when did the difference between a playoff injury and season injury enter the conversation? It was never part of my question that I'm still waiting for a suitable answer. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Why does the NHL have an IR?????

I can guarantee he would probably be better off as a centerman which he was originally a centerman.... maybe thats why he never reached is potential yet with the flyers

Maybe this will help you, then I'm done with this....How many players go on IR during the playoffs? This was about players playing through injury during the playoffs was it not? That is all

No not right after....it was 1 season after the calder when Raycroft had lost the starting job to Thomas I believe...Raycroft wasn't even backing up when JFJ traded for him, he was the third string goalie. Can't remember who the other guy was.

Same with Kessel. We should put him as a center too then.
