We made the biggest splash trading Kassian to VAN for Hodgson, and you didnt even get that.

In fact, RicoMartin actually mentioned Hodgson as a possibility of trade scenarios when no one else was. He didnt get the correct package, but he did mention Hodgson.

Good for him... Kid is going to be a star.. I just would have to imagine that team is kicking themselves.. they could of had probably 3 of the best young talents on the same team in Benn, Neal, and Eriksson.

Ek has never even linked Bobby Ryan to the Sabres. Its been mostly the Flyers because of the hometown thing.

Furthermore, the Sabres have looked into acquiring Bobby Ryan. But the discussion has never been close.

Defends his teammates and absolutely can be a PK player. Not every player has to score goals to be an impact player. Moen definitely serves his role hence the extension he just got.

I think the Stars are entering a rebuild myself.

Why trade youre only true top line C in Ribiero off for Eakin and a 2nd? Everyone might not think Ribiero holds any value on the trade market, so they got what they could for him. But Ribiero was more valuable to the Stars team this upcoming season than anyone they currently have. They have no top line center right now.

I think a lot of this has to do with the financial problems the Stars have had over the last couple of seasons to.

I never said or claimed the Stars would trade Ott for Roy.

yea but same can be said about 29 other teams... I know Darcy has said that Parise is their first action they want to put their nose into.. but darcy has also said that this UFA market is going to burn many teams. Darcy has said he will be very active in the trade market but he does not want to make a trade to fill one need that will only create a major hole somewhere else this year or the next.
