Good for him. Definitely WAAAYYY over inflated value. Its exactally what all Sabre fans said, they like Gaustad, he's a solid 3rd or 4th Center, a tough yet repectable guy, but only at a bargain.

He is too good for 4th line, not good enough for full time 3rd line duty. Just doesn't have enough offense. Preds need to spend though. Don't be shocked if Paul Martin lands there.

Good point about the new cap floor. There's going to be a lot of inflated numbers this year. GM's/Owners must be having nightmares.

The Preds pay 3.25 million a year for Gaustad and pay a 1st round pick to get him. Totally inflated player, but good for him and good for the Sabres.

Assuming this is any percent true, I think this trade would be apples for apples. For Buffalo they would be essentially fast fowarding Ennis's progress 4 years, and the ducks would be turning the clock back a few years and building for the semi near future.

I'f Im Darcy, I wouldn't do it. I really like Ennis and he seems to have good team chemistry, especially with Miller.

Good player...too much money....WAY too long. I could handle the money if it was a 2 year deal. Someone should give his agent a pat on the ass for that one.

Ennis, Stafford, Roy, McNabb.. and a 1st round pick... not to mention what prospects could be included...

my opinion is that... its too much for 2 players... creates too many holes.
