Do they really think that Roy is that bad of a cancer that her would be better served in Rochester than contributing to the Sabres?
- rmiethaner

Can I share something.

I work with a guy that is friends with a member of the organization. He hasn't talked to him in a while, but this is what he said about that subject a while back:

When Roy got hurt 2 years ago, the sentiment in the dressing room was "just watch us go now!" And that's when they went on that run in the last half of the year.

I know the source by name, know his position within the organization, and he is definitely close to the situation.

roy gets traded or sent to roch
- Homer

Hearing that info from you, I almost hope that they keep him on the roster just so they can send him to Rochester. It would certainly teach that little pr**k a lesson. From Uncle Terry's standpoint, he already spent over $4 million in salary for guys to go to Rochester (Kotalik/Morrisonn) last year, so what's another season throwing that type of coin towards our AHL roster?

if they dont sign or trade for one the D will likely be Myers, Ehrhoff, Leo, McNabb, Sekera and Regher so we have room, Sulzer #7.

They like Enroth, just not as a #1 just yet

I still think Vanek for Ryan would be good for both..

Vanek's has a bigger salary but you put him with Perry and Getzlaf and he could easily get back to 40+ goals a year.. and the Anaheim is I believe 22M under the salary floor already.

Vanek needs to have a top center in order to put up 7.1M type stats..

Very possible trade if Parise intends on coming here...don't be surprised if it were a three way deal with Philly involved....Buffalo getting Couterier and a couple of very high picks from Philly and/or Voracek..

I predict the Sabres deal Roy tomorrow and try to sign Parise but don't and settle by signing Marleau for 4 years tomorrow. I have no sources.

also homer your post about parise and suter confuses me

suter of course we have next to no chance in, and i understand that and im not even mad we dont need another defenseman we need forwards

but you make it sound like we are completely out of it with parise

i feel like we hve somewhat of a better chance bc of staff but then again idk

id much rather have doan though to be honest. his numbers arent inflated because hes been on a straight up doo doo team for his entire career

The Kotalik thing was basically Terry buying a 2nd round pick. Al didnt not have to be part of the deal like some suggest. If we took Al we got a second and terry asked Darcy if a 2nd was worth 3m....Darcy said yes, thus that portion of the trade.

Could we see a move to get Alexander Semin to unite with our new number one draft pick ?Id like to see the Sabres go after PA Parenteau myself.
- buffalo 1

Semin is more of a right winger and needs a center like Vanek does... very talented player but is he the right mentor for Grigorenko? Parenteau is a possibility, but only if top UFAs show no interest in Buf.
