Doesn't see like he's too worried about free agency
“@mattcarle25: A little wine tasting today in Napa before the @ofarevolution concert tonight #lifeisgood @Chris_Culos @marcroberge” - funmaster18
When it's likely teams will be tossing boat loads of cash his way what does he have to worry about? |

If Jagr wants more money to stay, I wonder if his $3.3M can be replaced by signing both Brunette and Knuble at $1.5M each on a 1 year deal |

Teams are entitled to buy out player contracts for a portion of the remaining value of the contract — paid over a period of twice the remaining length of the contract. Following are the buyout amounts:
Younger than age 26 at the time of buyout, 1/3 the remaining value
Age 26 or older at the time of the buyout, 2/3 the remaining value
100K on the Cap this year and next year, for Bartulis.
And this also buys the Flyers, 500K of Off Season Cap space. - MJL
I was wondering, thanks |

I'd prefer to sign some younger players. And unless it's a top offensive player, I'd like more of a 2 way player. |

Don't we have enough yound 2-way players - we need flexibility on the wings and Brunette/Knuble might match Jagrs production for 1/2 the cost allowing cap space flexibility |

In my opinion, if they're not going to go out and get a top offensive player, then I'd rather get some players that are going to provide physical 2 way play. Rather then 2 players who are pretty much near the end. And younger is relative to Brunette and Knuble.

They could use a good faceoff guy with size to play 4th line center. Now that the 3 guys I liked in FA are off the market, I'd like top see Jay McClement added. Not as sexy as Gaustad, but good size, good at the dot. |

Awesome Special on mike Richards on NHL network.
Evident why he is a leader and wins at every level.
Perhaps getting a warrior like Doan is what the doctor ordered. 3 or 4 years...who cares.
Much more interested in playoff warriors than Carle right now. |

Whats the deal with Laught? The type of game he plays leads me to think he could be a possibility next year on the 4th line? Esp. if the kid thinks the game very well and is defensively sound like hes reported to be. Maybe there's belief that he can help right away?
Edit- I saw he just turned 18....at least one year away I'd think |

Could Manning make the permanent jump onto the team? I thought he looked decent and had some mobility |

Pretty sure it is the max entry level deal with
bonuses. So he was going to be maxed out
at this number regardless of who paid it. Made
it much more about who he wanted to play
for vs. who paid him the most. |

Believe Bill mentioned he's probably a 3rd pair D nothing much more. If they want that they have MAB and Gus already.
I'd like to give Marc-Andre Gragnani a run if they struggle landing somebody else they are trying to land. |
