im not putting any stock into Howson making the right call, even if those trade scenarios you mentioned are 100 % confirmed and accurate. Howson is clearly a horrible GM

Nash is one man, who is pretty close to the top tier NHL caliber players, as was Kovalchuk 2 years ago. And Kovalchuk was traded for a 1st, Cormier, Bergfors and Oduya.
