Everyone thinks Hodgson is better than Ennis, yet why would Anaheim not be after Hodgson?

Who says they're not. Nobody knows what the Ducks want. Everybody is just speculating. Honestly, the reason I speculate Ennis is because I'd rather keep Hodgson. Others speculate Roy and Sekera because they'd rather keep Ennis and McNabb. It's that simple

Not losing sleep over him. Could really care less. Would have liked to have him here, but again, he doesn't offer much more than someone like Tropp can. Except a little more of a veteran presence.

everybody wants us to sign players and I get that, so do I, but you're right..no tmuch happened today that I was upset we missed out on. I also woulda signed Parros to for a mil per and also I would have matched what Dallas gave Whitney, but other than not not much of note.

declining from 35 to 34 to 31 isnt much of a decline at all if you ask me.

They have $30M in cap space. $2M more on that contract for 2 more seasons isnt going to hurt them.

It doesnt make sense they would trade Bobby Ryan and not expect a return that could give them at the very least the same production right now. They would be weakening their team in making that trade.

Thats why Ennis + Stafford is being rumored. That combination would replace the 30 goals they are giving up, and probably even best it.

I'm still nervous that everyone is going to expect Foligno to keep this pace, and I highly doubt he will. I just hope that people don't jump all over him if/when he hits a rough patch. He's still a baby by NHL standards.

Ok, well unless you know what they want you are just guessing. Not every trade is about getting equal talent back, many times a stud is traded for prospects/picks to improve the organizations future.

That's pretty much the best analysis I've heard so far. You can only judge the day on what the Sabres could have done. Not what you wanted that didn't happen. I'm not too bummed out by anything the Sabres didn't make a better offer for. What hasn't happened yet is yet to be seen and I'll judge it then....
