Its only 8 hours into free agency...honestly what team has blown you away with what they have been able to do so far today? NOBODY. The only guys to sign so far are backup goalies, bottom 6 forwards, (ok Ray Whitney but hes 40) and at best a 2nd pair defensemen (Garrison). Parenteau is maybe an OK signing, but thats about it. Darcy made the team better at the draft last week, and its not like theres only ten minutes left to sign free agents, most of the better ones are still out there anyway

He's no Leino.

....my money's on mcginn being in their top 6, played very well after getting traded looked like all he needed was some ice time that he never got while being buried in SJ. 8g 13pts in 17gms with COL.

....he's also getting paid for one good season, he's never even come close to those numbers before. Playing with Soupy helped him. I doubt he continues those numbers

I think people are overreacting yet again. The Sabres brass is obviously up to something significant and Darcy's forte and strength has always been via the trade market which I think multiple players are being discussed and honestly just because free agency opened doesn't mean anything the dominoes have still yet to fall, I'm thinking we will hear Sabres news in the next few days.
