I find it amusing that you have openly admitted before that you only started watching Hockey since 05/06, yet you know more than everyone else who have been watching the sport for 25+years.
There was a time when a fighter or 2 was NEEDED on your team. That time has come and gone. - dadeadhead
I don't get the point of this post?? How is having heard of John Scott have anything to do with 25 years of watching the game??
I knew of Scott because he played for Chicago and I grew up about 30 minutes out of Chicago so their games were on at every bar, restaurant, etc.
I don't get what your point is..... |

How have I flip flopped anything??
The guy averaged more time on the ice than Mike Rupp did for NYR last year.. he averaged 6:42..
I have said Scott is a goon the whole entire time.. and apparently everyone misconstrued my comment when I said that Scott is better than Cody at every facet of the game(of being a goon).. I just left out that part.. and everyone got upset..
it is what it is slave. I'm not gonna get upset because I rustled your jimmies. - JVince11
the problem is, Cody isn't paid to be a goon. his style of play involves hitting, fighting, stirring up some poop every now and then and he also has some skill. so in terms of being a goon, then yes, Scott is by far the better player. but as an overall player, i'm picking Cody 10 times out of 10 over Scott. |

look, if he only plays 6 games against the Bruins, and punish Lucic and Thornton, I would say he has earned his $600k salary. - Sabresfan88
I don't care about the money. He is a good and can't do anythin else. He is terrible at D and he is so slow that he cant even hit. Its a waste of a roster spot the a guy like corey tropp could be in. |

Maybe it is Ruff. He is a coaching dinosaur. But unfortunatly we will never know because Darcy will never fire him. Miller will be gone before Ruff is. I would really like to see this team with a new coach and goalie. - jerryl1964
ain't that the f'n truth... I'm sure Ruff is still trying to get used to seeing a goalie wear a mask on the ice..
his coaching techniques are strategies are very out of date. |

I think the only chance we have of Pegula cleaning house is if we have the top end paid roster like we do... and finish bottom 8 in the NHL or bottom 3 in the EC.
Pegula is not a dumb guy.. I just don't think he has much Hockey smarts. |

Because you're knowledge is lacking in every aspect about the game of hockey.
You dk the players or what their roles are.
You said you've only heard of Jon Scott once before. That's not surprising.
Stick to the sport you know in football and playing NHL video games. |

Scott, Cody, Kaleta for a 4th line.
Still like to see Bobby Ryan, Steve Ott and ..................Olli
Sounded good. |

Cool man.... because I played and focused on another sport growing up.. I am not allowed to be a hockey fan.. please continue to bestow your superiority down on me.
gee what a f'n idiot am I to try to become a fan of hockey 7 years ago..
Cody had 16 fighting majors in 2010.. Gaustad was next with 5... gee I'm such a dippoop to have the idea that he is the guy we send out to fight.. and wait a minute.. the guy that is sent out to fight is usually considered "the goon" of that team regardless on what offensive stats he does or doesn't put up.. he is considered the fighter of that team.
if you would just stop talking this would have been done 30 minutes ago. |

he still has to go through waivers - gerbe75pts
So every prospect of a team coming off their ELC has to go through waivers after they have been qualified and accepted their qualifying offer?
Why dont we see more teams snatching up other teams prospects then? |
