I think they wanted Myers to wear the C... but he is just CLEARLY not ready for that.
Foligno, Grigorenko, Girgenson, McNabb, Myers, or Ehrhoff... - JVince11
I saw something in Foligno. I don't see anything in Myers. Ehrhoff isn't a C, McNabb is too early to tell and the G's haven't played a game for us yet.
For this year I would be happy with Pominville C Stafford A Ehrhoff A |

Stafford and Vanek should not wear A's..
If Regehr and Leo were not both pending UFAs after next year I would rather give it to them. |

From JJ's blog
"Here's where it gets interesting. yesterday morning, I heard yet another Patrick Kane trade rumor—from a highly dubious source—that had him going to Buffalo for Ryan Miller. I alluded to Kane trade rumors yesterday on the radio show; although some diehards refuse to believe the Hawks would trade him, I believe otherwise. They would for the right deal. Ryan Miller could be part of the right deal." |

Brodeur was quoted talking about Parise making the right decision for his family because he is getting married soon...
I thought he was already married because everyone kept saying that Stafford was his best man??
divorce and re-marry or just wrong information heard by us?? |

Indeed. My company has said they'd be fine with me working remote from there. And that's a good thing because marketing technology consulting is also not an in-demand field back home. - nfph

I hate it.. not because I am a fan of Ryan Miller but because if we are gonna trade Miller... Kane is not enough of a two way.. face of the franchise.. type guy. |

Patrick Kane wouldn't be the face of the franchise?!?!?!?!?! - sambarugh
not a good one is what I am saying...
he doesn't do enough.. he is just too 1-dimensional..
that'd be like Marian Hossa but less offensive talent.. or Marian Gaborik..
they have great assets to them.. but they just don't do enough to warrant us having to go to Crawford/Enroth in net.
Kane would not make enough of an impact. |

We already have enough douchebaggery on this team (SEE: Derek Roy). Thanks, but no thanks to Kane, especially trading our starting goalie for him.

Sabres trying to acquire Ryan
TheFourthPeriod.com
Sabres GM Darcy Regier was relatively quiet on the first day of free agency, primarily because he was focused on trying to acquire Anaheim Ducks sniper Bobby Ryan.
According to the Buffalo News, the Sabres remain extremely interested in Ryan and are among several teams trying to obtain his services.
It's unclear, at this stage, what the Sabres are offering, though it's believed center Derek Roy is part of a package being presented.
The Sabres have been actively shopping Roy, who has one-year left on his contract, dating back to the middle of this past season.
The Carolina Hurricanes, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers have also shown an interest in Ryan.
Ryan became fed up with all the trade speculation surrounding him over the season and it's now his desire to move on and play for another team.
He has three-years left on his current contract at an annual salary cap hit of $5.1 million |

His stats would say otherwise. Better than Bobby Ryans. Played 67 more games but has 110 more points and a cup. |

C'MON DARCY!!!!!!!!!!
If Roy is in the deal I would doubt it that Ennis and/or Stafford are as well..
Anaheim signed 2 d-men yesterday so I would doubt they would want Sekera in that deal unless they are just COMPLETELY retooling. |
