That seems kind of counter productive. It looks more like they want to rebuild than add salary. |

So what's the final best offer, you would be willing to give Carle to stay. For me 6 yrs at $33 million - $5.5 million cap hit with full NTC, pay half the value of the contract in the first two years. That's my best offer I would feel comfortable doing. |

i find it odd that there are almost zero Wild fans on this website - Crimsoninja
Maybe there's a fan site that is very active out there. It's certainly true of the Redwings. Not a lot of fans here, but a very active site that caters solely to them. |

$5.5m AAV was the most I'd (over)pay for Carle before FA started. At this point, it seems more like an underpayment |

"One prominent agent told me before FA began the Flyers would have trouble this summer luring impact players b/c a lot of guys aren't sold on goalie Ilya Bryzgalov's ability to win a Cup and based on what they saw this season in Philly, reinforces their belief."

I think Carle will have to leave money on the table to come back, we'll see how much he likes living in the Delware Valley. |

Theres more to the game then just numbers. Not going to get into a debate about it. We are allowed to disagree on a players worth. Different opinions. - stveshdy
