I agree 100% with this. Despite being the best d-man in the NHL, I would HATE to give up what it would take to get him. We would be gutting pretty much our entire team...

Since we use handles, my name could/could not be Bill.

I do the trade. It sucks, it hurts, but you pull the trigger. Read is an average NHL player. Coburn is great and to me underrated. Voracek is learning and will be a really good player.

That being said, if you can tuck away a Weber for the next 8 - 10 years, you do it. Five years from now you want even remember the other guys. You build around G and Weber and Bryz. Similar to LA with their Kopitar and Doughty and Quick. We would still have some awesome pieces left.

Why is that funny? Leighton has proven he can play in the NHL. He was an All Star in the AHL last Season.

Well, here is how I see Parise...

If he chooses Pitt, he takes less money and uproots his family and moves across state to play with Crosby.

If he chooses Philly, he gets way more money and he lives in the same house he lives in now to play with Claude Giroux.

In my opinion... the Flyers have a good shot at signing Parise, much better than Suter.
