if we can sign Weber rather than only having him for one year, then yes.
Also could you imagine these ines:
Hartnell - Giroux - Parise
Simmonds - Briere - Ryan
Schenn - Coots - Wellwood
Rinaldo - Talbot - Sestito
Suter - Timonen
Grossmann - Coburn
Schenn - Gus - flyersfan51
That is absolutely impossible. In order to fit Parise and Suter under the cap, they will have to move a roster player to do so. There is no way they go out and acquire Ryan as well...
Come on back down to reality! |

i'm okay with that -- I really don't want them to land in Pittsburgh. - flyersfan51
I don't want them to land in Pittsburgh either. Neither of these guys are 100 million dollar players.
I have a feeling we'll get Parise and you get Suter. No doubt both teams will be a little drunk and happy initially, but the hangover will suck.
Suter has better longevity in my opinion. |

If they don't land Suter or Parise, will be interesting to see what plan Z is. - PLindbergh31
If they don't land either of them, they will re-sign Carle and make a push for Ryan/Nash.
If they can't get Ryan or Nash... they re-sign Voracek.
This is a go big or fall back to what you had originally mentality. |

I had thought Voracek was going to be re-signed regardless of any other moves, barring his rights being traded.
So if they don't get Parise, or Suter they are going to overpay Carle? Hmmm... Not sure that is the best of plans. |

It would be worth having Giroux and Parise together for 10+ years. |

we will see......it's kinda not fair for the teams that miss out though cause some guys have already signed with other teams while the big 5 wait on zach and ryan. |

If Parise and/or Suter lands in PIT what does that mean for Malkin? He only has a few years left on his deal. |

they were saying on NHL on the Fly that Suter and Parise's offer could pay them up to 26 million (counting signing bonuses) this year. I guess with the fear of a lockout shortened season its smart to ask for a huge signing bonus that you will get regardless of length of season. staggering money |

How does the island get boyes for 1m and the flyers weren't in on that. Very little risk with a huge reward potential in that deal. |

Well, here is how I see Parise...
If he chooses Pitt, he takes less money and uproots his family and moves across state to play with Crosby.
If he chooses Philly, he gets way more money and he lives in the same house he lives in now to play with Claude Giroux.
In my opinion... the Flyers have a good shot at signing Parise, much better than Suter. - Flyers2821
I just believe Parise ends up in Pittsburgh to play with Sid. |

I know it won't happen because we probably can't afford Ryan as well as the big two, but if we no longer have Carle, Meszaros and Read......could it fit? I can't access capgeek.com til noon. - flyersfan51
I'd plug in Stamkos for the 2nd line also. |

So he turns down 10-20 mill to move across the state to play with Crosby instead of playing with Giroux? |

When it comes to money the Flyers "let it rain" so now its just up to the player at this point. |

Unless Parise ends up in Minnesota I guess that whole "I want to be the go-to guy" and "I won't play anywhere else in the Atlantic for NJ's sake" was a load of BS. |

The Philadelphia Flyers are most definitely on Rick Nash's "approved" list. Don't pretend to know exact list, but Flyers are indeed on it.
Oh thank god |

If the Pens offered $90 its not like he wont be rich. Why Parise isnt allowed to move across state to play? |

He was never quoted in saying either of those. All he said was he did not want to play for the Rangers. |
