I don't doubt that. But I think it's safe to assume the Wild is out of it. He'd have no reason to talk it over with his family if that were the case because it's obviously where they want him to go. I think Jersey is out as well. If not the Wild I see him taking the biggest offer. - hereticpride
I wanna know the disparity in the offers. If its 5 mil or over and he walks away, he's got some stones. |

So he's going to sign with a team other then the Devils and keep it on the hush hush. Maybe when Training Camp roles around, the Devils will realize he signed with someone else, when he doesn't show up.

No clue, but I have to assume the Devils are offering the least. |

As ridiculous as saying that Parise is afraid to sign with another team and leave NJ?

Sure there are feelings. But I highly doubt that Parise is afraid to tell NJ that he's signing somewhere else, and that's what's holding up the announcement.

why split hairs?
seems obvious that he doesnt mean "afraid"
just suggesting that some sentimental connection with NJ might be a reason he hasnt made his decision yet |

That's the way I took it. If I misunderstood it, then I did. That's why I said I get the part of an emotional attachment when he clarified what he was trying to say.

Everyone's waiting anxiously for some news. And all the talk floating around about how much money is being offered to various players. And some of it is just an insane amount for the caliber of players. But if the Flyers were to sign Parise or Suter, even though you may not like the contract. As a Hockey fan, you'd have to be excited about it. |

That might take Sabres out of Ryan mix. Would've thought Roy would've gone to Anaheim in such a deal. |

What the h are they thinking in Buffalo? I'm not a big Roy fan but that deal just doesn't make a ton of sense to me. |

Okay I understood Parise wanting to wait until today to decide but now he is waiting until tomorrow? Are you kidding me?
I hope teams pull out on the deals and he loses a ton of money with this BS. - Flyers2821
He's making a $100 million decision and committing himself to a team for a decade. He's had since noon yesterday to even listen to offers. I don't think it's crazy for him to want to talk to the inner circle and think about it. It's a big deal. |

Spot on.
Twitter universe is spinning out of control because they want news ASAP. God forbid a person (cause really that's all they are--people) wants to talk it over with his family one last time. Parise doesn't owe a damn thing to any of the organizations at the moment. He's a free agent. FREE AGENT.
I'm also willing to bet that the offers being thrown to him and Suter are way over the initial mark that they thought they'd be receiving. That throws a wrench into things as well.

Nutter,
Are you hearing anything in general about Evander Kane? On the block, not being traded? Just curious. - ravishingone
Sorry for the late reply.
I went camping this weekend and have been unpacking the last few hours.
Evander Kane had a concussion earlier in the year. The team didnt say where it was from but everyone in the city knows he got into a bar fight at Opera Nightclub. There have been reports here that he may not be happy with the city.
As it stands however, it will take a lot for the Jets to trade him. They have trouble attracting free agents and just lost Tanner Glass. Who is a no name to most, but was a big part in any success the jets had last season. Think a Lappy type of player. Kane is someone I would prefer to say a Bobby Ryan however. |

Ott got back a ton, because Pardy was worthless
Ott makes Buffalo much tougher to play against, but who are their centers now? |

I like the move for the Sabres.
Ott is the kind of guy that will help you win a playoff series.
Roy is the kind of player you hope Giroux gets matched up against. |

This just gives us more leverage in any Ryan deal. This is the one thin that's has been positive in this waiting game. |
