I think we paid too much for Price. Quick got 5M a year, and carried the low-scoring Kings all year, while standing on his head during the first three series in the playoffs, and winning the Conn Smythe.

Might be that Quick has a bad agent though.

People poop on him for last season but they forget to look at our D squad and how pathetic it was. In a few years when Price is at his peak and our D is improved with the young guys coming in...we'll have a strong back end(code)

Quick got $7M for the next 7 years, plus 3 other years to lower the average cap hit to $5.8. Virtually the same exact contract as Rinne (who just took the 7 years with no cap reduction extra years).

The Habs were not going to give anyone a 10 year contract.

With the return of Cédrick Desjardins, the Bulldogs will be a fun team to watch next year.

He fills a need. He wont see any NHL games unless there is injuries.
