Unbeleivable how this off season is playing out. Who'd have thought that on July 3rd, that there would be so little to talk about, that lunch and fake twitter accounts would be the main topics. Crazy! But don't worry, as soon as Parise can find his long lost Uncle on his Mother's side, he'll be done running it by the family. A decision is forthcoming. - MJL
Is anyone even open for business tomorrow? could there be deals on the 4th or are we looking at thursday??? |

speculating: I wonder if it is the Flyers who might be holding this up indirectly? Have other teams given such purportedly humongous offers to BOTH players? They both want to play with each other very much, I hear, and yet the team offering the best deals to both of them is a team they do not want to go to.
Best option: see if other teams can be leveraged by this to increase offers. |

Does a team that can afford 16 mill in cap space on the two of them have enough left to be competitive over the years of those contracts? Go where you want to go and there's a good fit and take fishing trips together in the summer. |

I bailed on that one fairly quickly, too. Fakepanoch didn't last long for me either. I think notbryz is the only fake I follow now. |

What would the Flyers have to give up to land Enstrom?
Other than Doan are there any big, Physical two way wingers still available in FA? |

Yeah, He was mentioned the other day and the more I look at things the less likely it is to land a quality DMan in FA. Carle will tie up too much money for his value, IMO.

I posted the same exact thing earlier. I had the same speculation. That it isn't running things by the family. It's getting teams to bid against each other to get the teams they really want to play for, to match the top offers they received from other teams.

If the Flyers could land a top tier 3rd line winger I'd be willing to trade Bordon, read and pick(s). Would that be enough?

She's probably shopping. She's got a lot of money to spend. Might as well get a good head start.

Maybe thats why they hesitate to come here. Flyers will always ice a good reg season team but will always lack a long term perspective (actually keeping those late first round forwards wonders after they sign them or grooming D men from the farm) or pay attention to some of the less flashy issues (team D instead of individual stats, making the Briere line more balanced instead of shifting him all over the place with bad defensive forwards) that produces success deep in the playoffs. They will create a splash, then fail, then throw more money. On and on it will go.
Yeah why give Jake 4 mil when we can get wreck the house by giving Nash or Prise 8? After all, why would we need a durable, strong, young player who was one of the best forwards in the playoffs, made the pp very dangerous by his movement on the right side, and is perhaps our best defensive top 6 forward? Who down the line could become a much better goal scorer? Nah, trade him! We want proven stars who we sign to huge deals or by giving way young assets: see how well it has worked out for us in the last 15 years!
Already G is the "best player in the world" ((frank)ing absurd). Soon, we will Mike Richards him. Hive him the C, put an overly huge burden on his young shoulders, tear him to pieces when an inevtiable slump arrives (how will two wrist surgeries affect him I wonder...). A huge contract and then trade will undoubtedly follow.
As for Lavy, enjoy your last year in Philly. |

My sources are telling me she is somewhere in the mountains along the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan. This could take a while. |

Yea, you'd think they've talked in the last 3 days via a cellphone... maybe Skype? Once they're married, her input probably won't be as important. Too bad they aren't already |
