That is true. I have never heard it. But where there is smoke, there is usually fire and it's pretty obvious that Suter wants to get paid in a city where he can stay relatively anonomous..

Again, all just noise. So Detroit doesn't have a shot either?

Maybe you can quantify it, but I can't. And we have the same information available to us.

That's fine. I respect your opinion. I don't feel they have a chance on them.

While Detroit is a fantastic hockey town they do not have even close to the media scrutiny that is in a city like New York, Boston, or Philadelphia.

Plenty of media scrutiny in Detroit. He won't be able to be "anonymous" in Detroit as you put it.

So does Detroit have a shot or not? What are their odds?

I rather have voracek. Withdrawal all offers. Not worth it at this point
- stveshdy

Yes, oh my God, YES! Finally...someone making sense.

Now that we lost JVR and Jagr, its imperative that we keep Voracek. Yeah, the guy can't finish, but he was all over the ice last year.

I made this point previously. Yes, Voracek can finish. He had 18 goals last year. Look around the NHL and see how many Forwards each team had, that scored 18 or more goals.

If we lose out, I'd like them to go after a mid range dman, (no way Carle is back) Doan and re sign Voracek.

He has something in common with the legendary Eric Clapton.

Fantastic album. Still listen to that from time to time. My fave by Clapton. 1989 was a great album year.

Unreal album. I own just about everything Clapton has ever done. The only thing I don't love is the Blind Faith stuff (I'm not a Steve Winwood fan).

To me, nothing beats his days with Cream. I saw them play at MSG in 2005, when they were all 60+ and they hadn't lost a thing. Just an amazing concert.

It did - and Phil also sang backup on the track. Phil's song "I Wish It Would Rain Down" on his "...But Seriously" album (also 1989) had Clapton doing the guitar.

Daryl Hall (of Hall & Oates) sang the harmony vocal on Clapton's song, "No Alibis."

Agreed on Journeyman. Excellent album. Listened to it just last week.

Disagree on Cream.

Collins is an underrated drummer, I saw him playing drums with Clapton and Friends at a concert in I want to say 87, I was young I don't remember the exact year. But Collins was on drums, also had bassist Nathan East, as well as Mark Knopfler. Spectacular show.

I agree that Cream is his pinnacle, but there's a lot of good stuff before and after. I do like the Clapton/Winwood concert they did a few years back. Haven't given that as many spins as I should, but I did like it.

I'm stuck on a Rush thing right now what with their recent release, "Clockwork Angels."

I basically like any group that ever played on 93.3 WMMR from 1980 - 2005, especially the 80's and 90's.
