Have to think Mac's moved, Connolly dumped in a soft deal (I hope), and Lombardi is waived to Ricoh. Can't see any of them on the starting roster. - Brian Huddle
Can't wait to see the other Rupert in training camp either.
Finn was a steal at 35 for sure. - Unholy_Forward
Found the story Dave Morrison gave on Loov really hilarious. All the NHL teams use the same computer program that keeps stats recorded on prospects, and the program listed Loov at 5'6 or something, and apparently Bergmann (Leafs Head Euro Scout) wanted to change it because he's actually 6'2.
I've pretty much had For Today's new album on non-stop repeat the past month, hahahaha. - Brian Huddle
Can't say I've heard of For Today, how about this deal, I'll switch over to that cd your listening to and you switch over to the one I am. If you need an example just youtube Gojira's new single L'enfant sauvage.

I made it be known quite a bit I was disappointed in the draft but I really hope Rielly and Finn contribute down the road.
This organization has such a gaping hole at centre prospect wise that in my opinion it will take another 3 to 5 years drafting to get one that may be a cornerstone to this franchise.
I've gone through line-up combos and I just don't see a spot for MacArthur, Lombardi or Connolly. They are all far too soft.

that lineup looks like more fun to watch than last years, I'll say that. Could be fun to swap Kulemin and Kadri also - more physical 3rd line.
I have a feeling Carlyle is going to lobby for a bit more... shall we say angst from the 4th line though.

Deal.
Also... we've found the new crush for female Leaf fans.

...theres too many players with a similar skill level and nowhere near enough elite talent, but at least it should have a bit more determination than the soft sack nonsense lombardi, connolly and macarthur bring to the table.

all true, hence "more fun to watch" rather than saying "better"

I can see us keeping MacArthur around cause he's still a useful top 9 player that can play with some grit. He's pretty fast and can contribute. Play him and move him at the deadline, cash in on a player we signed as a UFA

I'm with you on that. We have a pile of defenders already (and more before Burke moved Schenn and Aulie for "meh" returns) but keep drafting more with our high picks. I get that our first two picks this year were pretty good picks at where we got them but sometimes going for the best player available isn't the best way to go, sometimes you need to draft for need and the Leafs need a first line centre. Badly.
Any hope this guy can eventually solve the Leafs' centre woes?
Thanks in advance. - Atomic Wedgie
He's a winger ;-)
Good skater, decent pair of hands, big shot, hits everything that moves, good fighter. Lacks ability to create his own offense, so will need to be paired with a good center at NHL Level to get the best out of him.
