Gotta be...not sure who else it would be???

The names on the phones must inlude JBO, Backlund, Babchuck and that's probably about it lol...

They need a top 3 centerman. Either someone for the first line, which may be tough to get. Or one for the third line (defensive, gritty, faceoff, pest, etc.)

The problem is, this is a need for most teams right now. There are currently many teams competing for extra help down the middle...we may have to rely on younger guys who havnt necessarily made a name for themselves yet.

You would have to assume GMs have been calling a lot about Kipper and Iginla over the last few months.

Also...if there have been offers for either but they had to be declined because neither player would move, I hope for my own sanity I dont find out what some offers were!

Well at least now Kipper wont have a choice. Doubt Kipper goes this year based on the signings & indication they expect to start this year with playoffs in mind. However, we all know how things change come November & Flames are 4 games under .500. It will probably seal Iggys decision to move on to a contender, I dont expect any Iggy extensions this summer. I truly hope Feaster can score a future core player in a JBO move, if Courtier could be included in the deal, that would be a nice start. Wild are going to be tough this year if they get the goaltending from Harding & Backstrom this year.

I could see Kipper being moved, but not until Ramo comes over from Russia. At least he has some pro experience, having him might give the Flames that flexibility in the future.

If teams really do come calling regarding Bouwmeester now, and you were Feaster, what would your asking price be?

For me, I'd need to get a good return if we're moving him.

From Philly I'd ask for Couturier or Schenn and a pick.

From Detroit I want Helm and a quality prospect (maybe a guy like Jarnkrok)

From Nashville, Colin Wilson and Jonathan Blum

I know those feel like really high prices to pay, but I'd start high and see what I can get.

I wonder how much Iggy and Doan are talking right now.

If Iggy doesn't sign and gets traded, Doan being signed to fill in that leadership role would be a great switch.

Iginla signs (4yrs 7/5/5/5), I think Kipper will resign for a couple years. With either Irving or ramos starting to pick up more games. a price drop in yr two makes it easier to trade iggy if he wants out.

Would love coutrier, but I doubt that would happen. I just don't think the return on iginla would be enough (even 2 yrs ago).

Jbo or cammelleri are our bigger bargaining chips.

I think moveable assets are Jbo, cammy, backland, Stajan and if missing payoffs at deadline, Kipper. And if Iggy isn't signed by deadline and kipper goes. Iggy will be out the door as well.
