Watch him sign with a KHL team.
"Well, after careful consideration, me and my family saw the stupid money they gave Radulov, so I've signed with Stolinchyakmanov of the KHL for $33 million per year for 26 years. This includes a NTC to any team that plays within the confines of Siberia" |

I think Anaheim's price is too high.. they want a 2C.. and we just traded the one we had available..
I just don't see us trading big pieces for another winger...
If we made a big trade.. I would imagine it would be for a Center.. not dealing centers for another winger.
Sekera/Leo for Stewart. (small trade for winger is possible) - JVince11
Reasons that STEWART should be our target instead of Ryan...
1) had a bad year last season (15-15-30pts), so he won't cost us an arm and a leg to get him
2) before last year, scored 28goals two years in a row... Almost as much production as Ryan
3) is only 24... Making 3.0m this season & then is an RFA... Even with a 30goal season, his next deal would top out around 5mil tops...
Which would fit into out salary structure very nicely
4) is under the radar, so to speak... So we won't have to win a bidding war like we would with Ryan (or Nash, etc)
5) StL needs defense, which makes us the perfect trading partner... It would potentially allow us to fill a need at forward without creating any major holes (losing Ennis for example)
I've been talking about getting this guy for a week or so now,
Seems to be a good fit...
I hope we get it done
Vanek-Hodgson-Stewart.... Would be really nice
Then somehow dump Leino
And find a center to play between Ott & Pominville |

Sabres late push for Parise and Suter.
Vanek + Ehrhoff for Bobby Ryan and a 2nd 2013
Pommer + Sekera for Stastny and a 2nd 2013
Sign Parise for 7.5M AAV and Suter for 7M AAV
TEAM USA ALL THE WAY! - theblueandgold
First, Vanek scores at a higher rate than Bobby Ryan. I wouldn't trade Vanek for Ryan straight up unless we were really in a bind for cap space and trying to get younger. Vanek is so underrated it's unbelievable. The second trade isn't too bad, Pom's value will never be higher and personally I think his leadership is overrated. However, his special teams is clutch and Stastny is overpaid. We don't get better there either.
At this point, I have lots of faith in Darcy and I think most attentive Sabres fans do too. I don't care what he does today so long as he doesn't move Ennis, Hodgson, Vanek, Myers or Miller. It's hard to envision getting better if any one of them went the other way. Normally I would consider Miller, but its evident you need a red hot goalie to advance in the playoffs and he proved he can still get red hot.

I see that Ek decided to sidestep any suggestion of any moves by Buffalo - that means everything is still on the table for the guys he lists in that "blog" |

EK said Rangers or Flyers for Bobby Ryan, I guess that means he's coming to Buffalo. |

Did I just see JP for the most overrated American Center "Statsny"!?
Really!? hahahah. JP is the best player on the sabres ATM. He puts up points. Plays on the top PP and PK. Plus Is the best captain we have had since Drury |

Suter to the wings, maybe the flood gates will open now.
if you wanna know how I know you'll have to ask my dog, he chooses the tennis balls.
Signing as good as done. Detroit pressed later today.
