Kane is 10x more skilled, local boy, and he isn't a homosexual .

I get the hate on Kane. But I have been a fan since I heard about him when he was playing for the US NDT in 05. Its also my dream to have a top all american line on the sabres before I die lol.

- Smittyx36

its really not that terrible of a trade. sure kane has his off-ice moments. but he's a star..some might consider him a superstar depending what city you're in. he'll have fans, he'll have haters, but in the long run he's a top player in this league and the sabres could use his scoring touch. Enroth may not be 100% ready but if we can bring in a goalie with veteran presence, enroth can be ready VERY soon.

dont forget the 13-0 run enroth had for a while.

I really hope you intended to have a really good top 6 not including any of those 3 if that's the line you wanted. If that's your top line, you'd be in 15th, easily.

trading away Andre Savard, Tony McKegney and JF Sauve for Real Cloutier and a 1st round pick, which turned out to be Adam Creighton

I'm a huge Kane fan and would love him in Buffalo. I don't give a rats ass about the off ice bull poop.

He would be the best winger to play for the Sabres since the lockout. No doubt.

your're forgetting sekerra is the next get out bandwagon then i think its gerbe followed by leino
- hubie

If Ott is going to play the wing for us,
We have to find a way to get rid of Leino...
Bc his 3rd line wing spot is where Ott would slot in
Assuming we get a scoring winger to play w vanek & hodgson... (I've been saying Chris Stewart from StL would be a nice fit)

Then maybe sign Arnott to center the 3rd line w Ott & Pominville

I think that'd be a great group of forwards

Still need to upgrade on defense though
IMO, we only have 2 guys right now worthy to be in the top4,
Although if Sekera gets consistent & McNabb continues his development either or both of them could slot in there

Seems like you forgot that you were dreaming. Enroth has never went on a 13-0-0 run in the NHL.

His highest winning streak was 4 games.

Miller however started the 06-07 season going 12-2-2 in the first two months including an 8 games winning streak. Also had two 5 win streaks that season.

Or how about when Miller went 21-8-3 to start the first three months of the season in 09-10? Including an 8 win streak in November, and 7 three+ win streaks that entire season.

Facts have no place here.

Which none are available.

Kane is an elite player in this league. Like him or not. Is still young. I gave you an elite scorer and servicable goalie for our Good goalie and good d-man.

Then Kaleta, then the draft picks.

I sometimes think Buffalo isn't full of Sabres fans as it is Sabres critics.

Now that it looks like the Sabres won't be adding to the middle, I'm growing more comfortable with the idea of just Hodgson and Ennis playing the top 2 center roles.

No Cups any time soon, but definitely enough skill to be competitive.

Chicago has 4 elite players, and 2 more superstars on their team.

Kane, Toews, Hossa, Keith + Sharp, Seabrook

With Crawford in net they couldnt do anything.

Adding Kane to the team we have now isnt going to give us success with Crawford.

F Crawford!

Get Kane without Crawford.

Then trade a 2nd and a D man to LA for Bernier. Have Bernier/Enroth split time.

Both are better options then Crawford

Bernier has not proven he can handle being a starter.

you're right, i meant between the end of the 10-11 season/begining of 11-12 when he was 9-2-2

not bad for a "backup" who isnt ready to be a starter IMO

I said it right after the 2010 playoffs. Both Connolly and Roy needed to go. They never did anything when it mattered. Roy should have been traded in the 2010 offseason. He had more value, and years left on his contract. Even if you had let Connolly ride out the last year of his contract, he'd no longer be your problem after 2011. If you had done that, neither would have been on this team going into 2011-2012, which would have made a ton of difference.
- buffalofan19

Roy might have been sweeter trade bait at the deadline. If goose got us a first, you know what im saying.

Edit: Plus he actually would have scored goals along the way.

He hasn't been able to prove it...

He will be a top 10 goalie within the next couple years if LA gets rid of him.... Just my personal opinion.
