I think as far as fitting into the lineup it's pretty identical. The differences lie with what moving parts are necessary to facilitate the trade ie what do the morons Howson and Murray want. Also I think their salaries and term are different enough for that to be a talking point. With Nash you would have him for 6 more years but for 7.8/yr. Ryan would be a much more affordable 5M but only for 3 years.

Personally I would be surprised if Nash put Buffalo on his list. He clearly has his teams in mind and is the driver seat. Either way you will need some serious assets to pull them away from their current teams as both Howson and Murray cannot afford to botch the trade and need to "win" it, or it's probably their job.

Buffalo certainly doesnt have the attractive linemates like some other teams on his list, but they would be an upgrade over his situation in Columbus. Pominville would be a better RW than anyone hes played in CBJ with. Not so sure any of our centers are appealing though. Perhaps Ennis but I dont think Ennis will be broken up from Stafford and Foligno.

I would think they would want one of our 3 top prospect players in McNabb/Pysyk/Armia in any deal. I really don't think Adam has that high of value, don't get me wrong I'm sure they'd take him as a throw in, they could use everything they can get.

They have Mason and Bobrovsky I don't think they'd want another goalie. Vanek,Pysyk,Armia would probably work. Then again they probably want another roster player besides Vanek and Pysyk and Armia aren't NHL ready yet so maybe Adam would be that other piece.

Perfect time for Darcy to grab Ryan is now when other tems are waiting on Parise, Suter and Nash. Problem is the Ducks GM is smiling all the way to the trade block.
