I like what Leopold has done the last 2 years. I practically got my head chopped off saying that during the offseason last year though. - HonkFortheGoose
When he is your best d-man, your team has issue's.
Much like when Nolan Pratt was here. |

Go get a top line center and Clowe.
Mission accomplished.
Side note I'll be at castaways tonight and Rats tomorrow. A friend's mom lives in Angola and she's out of town. You staying out that way? - dadeadhead
Yup. I'm sure I'll be at Rats at some point tomorrow. Not sure when though. I'll be down the beach. If you're standing on the patio and look to your right, I'm at the cottage that has a bulldozer in front and a volleyball net. |

I just have a hunch...
Hodgson, Adam, and a 1st for Stastny.
... just my thought...
Vanek - Stasnty - Pommer
Foligno - Ennis - Stafford
Ott - Grigs - Leino - JVince11
Kinda similar to Roy, rather keep Hodgson |

Does anyone else find it kind of annoying that all of the headings on NHL, TSN, ESPN, etc say:
The Dallas Stars have acquired Derek Roy from the Sabres for Steve Ott, Parady.
It is, as if, in the title they are saying they got the better end of the deal. |

But that doesn't mean that we should trade him. It just means the pieces around him need work. |

completely agree that he is very similar to Roy..
but I don't think darcy sees it that way because Stastny's defensive prowess and size casts a massive shadow on Roy. |

I dont think they got the better of the deal, but I think it's without question that in terms of points, he has the highest potential, making him the most intriguing to talk about. |

Usually the "better" player is considered the more offensive player. Roy might be better known because he was a top offensive player for the Sabres for several seasons.
In terms of skill, they did get the better deal. But as we all know, Sabres just needed a guy like Ott.

Roy was a lot better defensively than you're giving him credit for. He's played big PK minutes here in Buffalo. This past season was out of the ordinary in terms of how he looked defensively, and I think it's all because of the injury and just not being in the right condition because of it. That makes it a lot harder to keep up and play the defensive game you're used to. What some people took as laziness, was more or less he just couldn't do it this year. |

Carey Price now makes more money than Ryan Miller...
Price's contract is back loaded and will actually make 7M in salary the last 3 years.
Thoughts?
I think Miller is now down to the 4th or 5th highest paid Goalie. |
