And after re-signing Voracek, which shouldn't be a problem. Holmgren should turn his sights on approaching Scott Hartnell and see if they can come up with a fair deal for an extension.

maybe at 3 years. I don't know about doing that longterm. He's already 30 and bound to start declining with the way he plays, unless he's part Kryptonian.

I'd risk waiting on that. Could've just been a one-shot deal. If it's not, well then, pay the man fairly.

I'm worried about Timonen, yes. With Meszaros having already comeback to play after that injury, I'm leaning toward he'll be more than ok to start the season.

By all accounts early (which bodes well). I just worry having had some back problems of this type, and i don't get pounded by 200lb men 100 times a year.
