It's sad that I don't trust what he says. I don't believe it. He's trying to not overpay, he always lies to the media/ public. I hope I'm wrong however. - stveshdy
He said he was hesitant, not that he wasn't going to do it!

Is he a better faceoff guy? Then sure Im ok with that, he might be older though, Dom moore is 31 i think - aosplayo
think halpern is a better fit. like dom moore and he's definitely the better player but he's likely seeking multiple years at 2+ in a top-9 role, while we could get halpern for probably a year at a mil or less. halpern has won 58 and 57% of his draws the last two years. dom was 55 and 53. |

Eh, I don't consider it lying. Why should he tip his hand about anything he's trying to do?
He shouldn't, of course.
So instead he gives vague and generic answers.

I think Gervais is serviceable on 3rd pairing but Flyers now have 9 D competing for 7 spots with only one waiver-exempt player (Gus).
.....we have a trade to announce..... |

OK, I am the only one who is perplexed by the Rusty signing? I really liked him as a player for us and the bolts. He basically got the same money as Ponikarovsky, but Ponikarovsky was much better for the Devils last year. And I would have rather them go after K Wellwood or even Arnott for a year vs. Rusty at that price.
Looking at some of the proposed line-ups, I don't know where he fits in. Putting him on the 3rd line with Coots and say Simmonds, Read or E Wellwood really turns Coots more into a true checking line center vs. a Staal type that can score AND shut down teams.
The reason most of us would NOT trade Couturier in a deal for Nash or Ryan is because of the offensive upside, not so he can be John Madden.

sounds good to me, you're right moore would be looking multi year for sure.
I like the gervais being cheap and Fedo 1 year. Theyre setting up to be real players next year UFA. If they could outbid everyone this year for the top prizes with this current cap situation, Id imagine theyd go all out next year when theres more talented players available. |

I would have preferred Brunette, Welwood, possibly Knuble for that $ |

Bourdon should start talking to his agent...real estate agent that is. Between he and Gusty I'd rather part with MAB.

Good call about Brunette. Forgot about him. Knuble and Rusty are sentimental choices, but I think the ship has sailed on Knuble for this team. Same on Rusty. |
