I genuinely like Voracek, but one has to wonder what is contract demands are. Patrick Elias said he was the Flyers 2nd best forward in the playoffs behind Giroux. Thats a mighty tall compliment from a player who is synonymous for clutch. Only 49 points last year, almost looked snakebitten when he did shoot, which he did far too little. Great hands, great speed, 6'2 210+ and he's only 22.

I'd go 3 years 11 million, 2015-16 season D.Briere contract is up. Hopefully G is signed long term as well as Couts Reader and BSchenn re-upped in 2014-15

doesnt cost any players/picks and they can always trade him for picks if things dont work out...low risk nothing to loose.

Nothing to lose? He'll likely require 3-5 years and at least 5M per year. That's a high risk if he continues to show a lack of hustle, etc.

I actually think Jagr wasnt a half bad defensive guy. At least when compared to Briere. Giroux also needs to get much better defensively. His defensive numbers after January 1st last season were atrocious.

Semin is a pretty talented player and I thought he played hard for Hunter. He's a risk but doesn't cost anything but money. I'm on the fence but I would look around first before making an offer.
