With the one exception, i believe most kovalev lovers are full of poop so what? - eihcnerf
I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that you don't have anything intelligent as arguments... anyone else have want to share opinion/thoughts? |

When they were young? No doubt about that and it's not even debatable. Jagr is a sure shot hall of famer.
But he's 41 now. - Pecafan Fan

You also assume gionta/plek and whoever plays with them are complete poop next year. Gionta was injured for most of the season. Habs will finish 11th in the conference...slight improvement - Symba007
i assume that if plekanec and gionta don't have anything but a plug on the wing that yes, they will be poop. |

they are. I have enjoyed this baseball season more than in years past. Nats are doing great and the Orioles are playing okay too. Some good baseball right now. - desi08
I think my boy is a bigger fan than I am. We did get matching red Harper jerseys. Sad, I know. Even sadder with the matching red/blue caps. |

Hah! Plek's defensive game is 100% there in the playoffs and he still produced (although minimally). As for Semin... well, that one's a real dissapearing act. - PRICEless
Believe it or not, the habs signed him that huge contract to supply some offense too. |

you can see into the future? Where are we finishing next year? Does Galchenyuk stick for the whole season?

As much all you Kovy haters out there thinks it's outrageous to even think of Kovy back in the line up, I think you guys are just hypocrites.
Nobody and I mean NOBODY can actually stand here and say #27 was not an elite player with the habs on his last year. I admit Kovy was a frustrating player to watch on his off nights, many questions regarding his attitude within the team, but when he decided to play...We all had a beer in one hand and the other holding the " do not disturb" sign up.
Keep in mind, this wouldn't be the same scenario for him as the entire headquarter have changed and many players gone.
I'm sorry but I don't think this is soooo crazy of an idea at all.
I am with you on this Gilling. I would rather have a "wanting Kovalev to play for the Habs" on a 3rd line for 2M/season then Scotty Gomez.... Sorry but Scott had his chance to prove something for way to long now. - Tripple_B9
There are several issues here. First I can stand and say Kovy was not elite in his last year. He put up 65 points, not elite. He had many off nights, not elite. He had to be given a special talk by Gainey to get him to play well again, not elite.
The second issue is you assume that Gomez will be on the 3rd line, when assuming he'll be on the team at all is a stretch. And Kovy is not suited to play, let alone excel on the third line.
I think you need to take your Kovy glasses off. |
