I don't think you can have 2 D-men that will rush end to end like PK and Baulieu do.
- cburgess

we don't even know if Beaulieu will be any good in the NHL, let him time to prove himself...he is a year or 2 away at least. I hope the Habs build a STRONG D corp for once....no need to trade the D 's they have coming, we finally might have a strong back end.

Habs need a lot of things. Galchenyuk is at least 4 years away from being a topline centre. You can't rush him into that role.
- cburgess

Habs are rebuilding, we'll have to be patient for a couple years, no need to rush things by moving young assets to try to win now. Look at Chicago and Pitts, takes a few years to build with strong drafting and players development.

Hopefully Markov's knee will hold up for the next 2 seasons, giving time for Beaulieu to develop in the AHL

I agree with that, but it helps having Crosby and Makin fall into your hands. Or Toews and Kane. PK may be good some day, but he needs a lot of coaching still

PK turned 23 2 months ago.....he will mature with time, I am not worried about him. He will always be a bit flashy....that's in him.

We'll know this year (if there is hockey) at what level he can come back. He is so talented, if his knee can hold up...he will be again the Habs best D, he is 33yrs old.

and the transition game, Habs need help to get the puck out of their zone with a quality first pass, Markov is great at that. First time in 3 years Markov can workout at full speed during a summer

Can't see what's wrong with that. Didn't stop the Hawks from winning a Stanley cup.

They had Brian Campbell and Duncan Keith who rush the puck as much as Beaulieu and Subban do.

I don't think so but can't be sure. We'll see.

Habs have to let the next two seasons run their course before they start being relevant again.

ok, but the Habs don't have Teows and Hossa out there to help out the Defence either. I'm just saying with a group of below average forwards (paks and plekanek are the ony decent forwards on the club right now) you can't have your defence taking a lot of risks.

Exactly...let's be patient and let the new guys do their job. Bergevin said the goal is not to be good for one year but to be a good team for many years, it requires good drafting, players development and patience. They are just starting....and they have some good pieces to work with.

Markov will finish his career in Montreal be it from injuries or old age. As far as i'm concerned, him and Plekanec are two "real habs" in the same way that Lidstrom and Datsyuk are loyal to the wings.

Yes, peanut. You can quote that and make it look like i'm saying Markov and Plekanec are as good as Lidstrom and Datsyuk.
