And we're still 3 months away, (hopefully due to the CBA, not more than that), I think we will still look a little different before the season starts

Here is a great link that gives examples of how LTIR effects the year end cap. Either I'm missing something or this explains things differently than we've all been talking. This says if you are maxed on the cap you can acquire players using LTIR, but you'll need to dump salary before the end of the season or you'll violate the year end cap.

No it doesn't explain things differently. They are talking about the player placed on LTIR returning to play, before the Season is over. That's really not a great article

Sestito had moments. He's not a bad skater for a big guy, and he is definitely a big dude.

He also has a bit of skill.

I'm just not a fan of the guy.

I was thinking that. So in the case of Pronger who won't return, the upper limit ends up being the cap?
