I could be convinced to go 4 if he was going to sign in Pittsburgh or NY - Jsaquella
Then it would depend on the cap hit. |

That would be yet another factor. I just know that Doan in Pittsburgh would suck for the Flyers. |

There still is plenty of scoring on that roster, especially if there is more dedication to team defense. Also, there will be some interesting young forwards in the pipeline - Cousins, Akeson, Laughton.

great work. A few questions. What did you do with Shelly and did you count all 4 Dlines +Pronger toward the cap?

I would be very suprised if Doan leaves Phoenix. Considering Jagr would have been 41 with a questionable groin and JVR missed half the season due to injury, I don' believe the forward size is that much of an issue. They were out competed against the Devils along the walls, I didn't think the forwards were shoved out of the way. |

Shelley to the AHL/waivers. Pronger counts towards the cap unless the Flyers have under $4.91mm in space. For instance, if they added Doan, Pronger slides to LTIR and they get his hit in relief,
Pronger would be on the regular IR, so they could keep the roster at 23. Sestito could be swung in to replace Holmstrom or Rinaldo if need be, as well |

But if I recall they won't get $4.91 in cap space, isn't it something like $2.9 ? |

Depends when he goes on LTIR. If he starts the season there, they get the whole amount. You can't bank LTIR relief, it's like a pro-rated cap hit. |

they have to place him on LTIR from the start of the season to have the cap space available throughout? |

Basically, it's like trading for a guy at the TDL. You get his prorated cap hit. Same concept with LTIR relief.

Aslo, I think, but am not 100% sure, that the only way a guy can be placed on LTIR is if the team has less cap space than his cap hit-so in other words, if that's the case, then for Pronger to go on LTIR, if the Flyers had $4.92mm in space, Pronger can't be LTIR'd |

I like his speed and tenacity. I worry because he's got a bit of a target on his back and does cross the line at times |

I like Holmstrom in your custom lineup, he's played well with each call up.
