Damn Holmgren. 110 mil he reportedly through at Parise? - Just5
meant nothing other then to drive up the price because the Penguins had interest. |

Tons of promise with this group of forwards. Next seasons is going to be really fun to watch them all continue to grow together. Extremely excited about Schenn as well. - Flyers2821
Not everybody is going to take a step forward. Some will advance, some will fall short of expectations. I hope Flyers stick to plan and not get antsy and start making trades if we don't look like cracking 100 points again. Lets see what we got in the young uns.
Imo this season is not about what the roster is or even the growth of young players. Its about whether we can play as a team, and play sound team hockey and be competitive when it matters. 2 years in a row we have been pretty much taken behind the woodshed by teams we were supposed to be competitive with. If all the young players score 30 goals each and we end up again losing like that again, the season will be a abysmal failure and it will be time to part ways with Laviolette. |

I'd think of Briere on Giroux's wing. - ob18
It'd be interesting, but Briere has been less effective as a Flyer on wing than at center |

Maybe. But it apparently wouldn't have mattered. If he wanted to sign in Pittsburgh he would've |

Yeah, it's a shame because he is a shooter & Giroux has great vision. |

In depth article from Micheal Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune of the process in coming to terms with Parise, and Suter. Very good read.
The article states Parise, and Suter's camp would call teams and let them know they were no longer in the running. From everything I have read Holmgren never received a phone call from either player's camp letting him know the Flyers were no longer in the mix. How is it possible that the Flyers had the top money offers to both players and were never even taken seriously? That's unprecedented. And not a great sign.

It's not unprecedented that players don't take the highest offer and go somewhere else. Don't know how it's a bad sign. Parise and Suter turned down a lot of teams. |

Fun. Shoot me an email via hb before the season and maybe we will have one of the refs hold the money or however u want to do it. Make it 50 or 100 if u want to go charity route. |

dude wants out of WPG and if we offer schenn, we just might get him, but if you don't want to go there forget it. - isaiah520
Last I read the talk of Kane wanting out of Winnipeg is untrue. |

Still contend that I stated on here that money was not going to be the deciding factor and therefore the Flyers were not likely to get it done. I still think Ryan is most likely. |

Btw, I do trust. Just remind me at beginning. It will be fun to watch and I hope u win. I like Simmonds but anticipate a mild drop off. Think Schenn will bring it.

Shame to hear about Lt. Commander Quinton McHale and Norman.
I loved Tudor electric football as a kid. Gave me a laugh when the linebackers and wide receivers locked arms and danced around in a circle. |

It didn't seem like you finished your sentence. I'm probably better off.
Regardless, perhaps you can be mildly excited about hockeybuzz bringing together two fans where a worthwhile charity will benefit. It will be exciting to keep tabs on here as well.
Cheers! |

Underneath to the two yard line. Tackle. Game over. |
