We just dont want other bottom pairing D-men in every trade scenerio. Sad fact is that even last year Stastny was one of the top point producing American Centremen out there.

The more I think about this the more seriously I think our trading partner is going to end up being the San Jose Sharks if any at all.

What do we think about Vanek and say Leopold for Pavelski ?

Will it really take more then that to get a deal done with San Jose and we can both help out one another in the meanwhile with a fair deal ?

Vanek is 28 while Pavelski is 27 .

Seems like a fair enough deal to me.

I just don't see SJ moving Pavelski, why would they? They're gonna build around Couture and Pavelski... If anyones moving I'd have to think it would be either Marleau or Thornton...

It is honestly a very fair deal for both franchises.

seems like a logical trade, Avs move Duchene and O'Reilly up the depth charts, adams fit the 3rd line role. Add a good top 6 winger in Stafford.

Porter is a decent 3rd liner, just needs to have an established role on the team, does have some hands to him. End of the day a decent depth signing, just didnt hit make it playing wing on our top 9

Respectfully, we do not need Marleau at 32 years old.

As a matter of fact I would not even give Vanek straight up for him.

San Jose would have to give me something more to make me even think about parting with Vanek and what he brings in front of the net every night which a very special element to Vaneks game that I think even most Sabres fans take for granted!
