What part of Eller's game tells you he's going to hit his ceiling at 35-40 points? His shot? His size? His skating? His hands? His vision? We've seen good signs that he's strong in all the above fields. With the types of goals that he's scored and the types of plays that he's made playing on the 3rd line of a 28th-place team, I'm not worried at all about his ability to put up points if placed in the right situation. Not to mention his important role shutting down the opposition's top line in some games and his great work on the PK. The Habs have a younger, bigger, and potentially better Tomas Plekanec waiting to jump into the 2nd line center spot.

his hands and skating are pretty good. don't see why 35-40 is out of the question.
he's also got a good attitude and is very coachable , could help his development. i'm not in love with the guy either but i think it's too early to tell.

But I hate it when fans say... he's this and that and yet... he's been around for a while now and we havent seen anything that shows us he can step up the next level.

Then again.. my argument today was that he's still very young and if properly coached, he can become a solid 2way 2nd line player.


I still think he should be converted to winger.. but that's another topic

agreed. he seems to have plateau'd a bit last year but then again it wasn't a good year for the team as a whole , save for the dd line of course. however i think it's pretty clear he's not going to be a top line game changer , don't know why people see otherwise.
