I would love to see it expanded to involved Pacioretty, but don't think Stalberg and Morin get that done if they are added. Would the subtraction of the draft pick and adding Morin with Subban be enought to get Pacioretty too? Like others have said, I am all about the initial 4 player deal. If a pick is the only hold up, then get it done without the pick. Fills 2 big holes....#2 Center and physical top 4 dman to play with Oduya. Then all Chicago needs is a goalie.. maybe one of those shooter trainers stretched across the net. - ikeane
... Pacioretty...That's a player to build around...Doubt if he goes anywhere. |

Although I like Subban and it would depend on what the ++ would be, but at first blush I would say no. - Al
My first thought on seeing the deal was it was a great face-saver if management is totally fed up with his off ice behavior. "We never wanted to trade him, but found an offer that we couldn't blah, blah, blah" |

You don't think Kane at center will be more productive than Plekanec?
The best offensive combo is to keep Kane and sign Doan.

It has been stated that Hossa has a great relationship with the elder Statsny (I forget which one), but my question is why isn't Paul on the Blackhawks radar? I have been harping on this point for over a season now (I hope it is not too late) but Hossa has to be the key player on this team. The #2 center has to be addressed, and soon.
If you are going to trade Hammer, see if Col will want him in a deal. Heck, I would even discuss Keith right now. Hossa's window is closer quicker that the teams. GET HIM HELP NOW! |

Yeah, but if you ask a few people around here, we're all bandwagoners because we don't subscribe to their line of thinking. - NewToHockey
...Or because the Blackhawks aren't as popular as the Bears or Cubs on the streets of Chicago... |

I do not know all the underlying issues with Kane (which there obviously are), and perhaps its the truckloads of dollars the Blackhawks pour into marketing their players, but I just don't like the idea of trading Kane.
I understand that at some point if a player doesn't realize his "potential", perhaps the perceived potential was overrated and never going to be attained, But...
I just think there is more production on 88's tape and I'd hate to see his talents come to fruition in another jersey. - PuckAndSticks
Agreed.
His 2-way game needs work, but I think that will come as he matures and gets some coaching that doesn't allow him to just cherry-pick at the blue line when the puck is in our end of the ice. I was hoping he could learn from 81 but it seems like he hasn't learned much yet. |

I really like PK subban and he is definitely what the hawks need on D. He hits, good on D and has a great powerplay shot. But, I can't remember if he has been suspened, I know he has been fined. But is he a repeat offender on the league's watchlist? I'm sure the league is waiting to punish a hawk player for all the uproar with the Torres and Keith suspensions |

I have written about him and talked about it again yesterday.
He should be on the Hawks radar and the Av's need defense but Bowman would have to trade a prized draft pick or two...plus Hammer/Stalberg

Forget Pacioretty. Habs will not trade a big player for a small one. You can keep Kane if that's the case. Habs should just sign Semin (UFA). Same type of player as Kane. |

JJ/Al - Would you be in favor of a Kane/Hammer for Subban/Pleks plus pick or prospect trade? - Dannyboy
Yes, and my understanding is the Hawks would also like to get a pick in the deal—if the rumor I heard is legit, which I am still not sure of.
What I am fairly certain of is the teams have talked and Bergevin covets Kane. The specifics of this rumored deal I am trying to get confirmation on from sources I know better. |

What's the deal with JS Giguere in Colorado? Is Varlamov the man moving forward? They going with a tandem? Could he be had?
Researching possible alternatives to Lou who might realistically be available...turns out, behind Thomas and Quick, Giguere has the next highest career post season Save % among active goalies at .925%. One more year at $1.25...sign me up. What would it take? |

While I would make this deal, I still would prefer to trade Kane for a couple young physical forwards with skill and jam. Like what mike richards got for the flyers. Or even what holmgren got for Carter |

From my view the only "censoring" was me deleting that dudes 12 posts to that youtube link of Krejci making some blind pass. |

So what. I think we are both frustrated with this. Is there any chance we can work as consultants for this team, I will do it for no pay (only admission to the games). |
